Parent-School Partnership Accord

Enrolment at Bloomers School constitutes a mutual agreement between parents/guardians and the school management. These terms govern the standards of excellence, academic responsibilities, financial commitments, and student safety on our campus.

1. Admissions & Placement

Admission into Bloomers School (Creche, Montessori Nursery, and Primary Basic 1 to 6) is subject to availability of slots, submission of authentic previous records, and completion of the standard age-appropriate readiness assessment.

  • Age Requirements: Creche (3 months to 2 years), Montessori Nursery (2 to 5 years), and Primary Basic Education (6 to 11 years).
  • Assessment: Prospective pupils must undertake an informal or formal assessment to determine placement in the appropriate grade level.
  • Documentation: Accurate birth certificates, immunization cards, and previous academic transcripts must be submitted prior to final registration.

2. Tuition, Levies & Payment Terms

To maintain state-of-the-art educational facilities and retain certified teaching staff, the following financial regulations apply:

Due Dates: Term tuition fees, development levies, and co-curricular charges must be paid on or before the first day of each academic term.
Payment Method: All school fees must be paid via direct bank transfer or verified school payment portals into designated Bloomers School corporate accounts. Cash payments to staff members are strictly prohibited.
Refund Policy: Tuition fees paid for a term in progress are non-refundable once the child has commenced classes, as operational overheads and staffing allocations are committed in advance.

3. Attendance, School Hours & Pick-Up Security

Regular attendance and punctuality are vital to your child's academic continuity and social integration.

  • Official Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Morning assemblies commence promptly at 7:50 AM.
  • Security Pick-Up Cards: Pupils will only be released to parents, guardians, or drivers possessing an authorized Bloomers Security Pick-Up Tag. Any change in pick-up arrangements must be communicated to the front desk in writing.
  • Absence Notification: Parents must notify the school office via telephone or email if a pupil will be absent due to illness or family obligations.

4. Code of Conduct & Character Development

Bloomers School is founded on high moral standards, mutual respect, and civic integrity.

  • Pupils are expected to treat peers, teachers, and school property with respect, kindness, and courtesy.
  • Bullying, aggressive behavior, dishonest conduct, or deliberate destruction of school assets is strictly unacceptable and subject to constructive pastoral intervention.
  • Parents agree to support the school's corrective guidance and behavioral mentorship policies.

5. Health & Medical Emergency Care

The school provides basic first-aid care administered by qualified personnel on campus:

  • Prescription Drugs: Any medications to be administered during school hours must be labeled clearly with written instructions and handed directly to the school nurse.
  • Contagious Illness: Pupils exhibiting symptoms of contagious illnesses (e.g., fever, measles, conjunctivitis) must remain at home until fully recovered to prevent community spread.
  • Emergency Consent: In cases of acute medical emergency, the school will make every effort to contact parents immediately while transferring the pupil to our retained partner hospital for urgent care.

6. Uniforms & Grooming Standards

Pupils must wear the official Great Bloomers School uniform, matching cardigans, clean white socks, and approved footwear. Sports wear and house jerseys must be worn only on designated athletic and club days.

7. Student Withdrawal & Transfer Certificates

Parents intending to withdraw a pupil from Bloomers School must submit one full term's written noticeto the Head of School. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in the forfeiture of caution deposits or payment of one term's fees in lieu of notice. Transfer certificates and official recommendation letters are issued upon clearance of all financial liabilities.
